A satirical farce set in the permissive society of the early 1970's, the play follows the activities of the Wicksteed family - particularly Dr Wicksteed, medical practitioner - and their friends and acquaintances whose ruling passion is their determination to put sex and the satisfaction of bodily yearnings before everything else.
The characters move and dance in and out through a maze of mistaken identities and sexual encounters, with hilarious results.
