A powerful comedy-drama which has won international acclaim. Johnny "Rooster" Byron has lived in a caravan in the woods for thirty years, and the young people visit him to enjoy parties, alcohol and drugs. The townsfolk of Flintock see him as a nuisance and want to evict him. But it is St George's Day, and Johnny believes he has the ancient giants of England on his side.
