It is Christmas Eve at Belinda and Neville's house, and they have invited family and friends for a traditional family Christmas. Throw into the mix an unattached author who is irresistable to the ladies, an inebriated aunt and a mad uncle, and the scene is set for a riotously funny evening of entertainment.
One of Ayckbourn's funniest and most fast-moving comedies, full of hilariously embarassing situations but managing to be both light-hearted and serious in its exposure of human frailties and thwarted ambitions.
